Book Cover Redesign: 'Un Authored Letters'

This month, Michelle Argyle at Melissa Williams Design reimagines the cover of Un Authored Letters: A John Sanders Novel by indie author Tara C. Allred.

Design Note #1: This is the second book of the series, so adding “A John Sanders Novel” tells readers there are more series titles to be found.

Design Note #2: I went with a warmer color palette for the new cover but still kept it on the cool side since the book is described as a “gripping psychological thriller.”

Design Note #3: The title is legible in the original, but I chose a new font to help set the book’s tone. Using a softer font on the word letters will appeal more to the target audience: female readers.

Design Note #4: Adding an image of a woman opens the book up to more readers. It also hints at the plot and makes readers ask questions about the story.
