Content edit: As an indie contractor, I assure content is concise, correct, easy to comprehend, and maintains continuity in its details. When more substantive editing is required, I work one-on-one with the author to address weaknesses in story structure, inconsistent pacing, poor character development, and contrivances. 

Line edit: entails a review of each line to prepare for publication and proofreading for grammar, punctuation, spelling, consistency, and word usage.

Final proofing: correcting cosmetic errors/last step/final eyes. It’s not re-working text or re-arranging content. Proofreading is about doing a last run-through to catch surface problems with the content.
