Since then she has written two more novels, “Cute for a Black Girl,” and “Stepping Off the Porch.” All of her books are fiction novels addressing several important social issues including spousal abuse, drug abuse, Christianity, prejudice, mass incarceration, teenage pregnancy, mental health, and LGBTQ rights.
Currently, Amy works as a family medicine physician for the Defense Health Agency in Norfolk, Virginia.
