Anne Lovett, a native of Dublin, Georgia, is an alumna of Emory University and earned a Ph.D degree from Georgia Tech. She helped to found a small business still flourishing today, and when she left to care for a daughter with special needs, she began to write seriously.
She studied writing at Emory and with renowned writers such as Rosemary Daniell. She has published literary short stories, personal essays, journalism, and poetry. She is the author of the Kirkus-starred World War II novel Rubies from Burma, named one of the best 100 Indie books of 2017 by Kirkus Reviews, and Saving Miss Lillian, a finalist for the prestigious Maggie Award of Excellence given by the Georgia Romance Writers. Her third novel, The River Nymph, is a literary romance with an emphasis on women's struggles for respect, and has won a Gold Benjamin Franklin Award. (Checked review in Book Life!) Anne's fourth novel took a turn into cozy mystery with Snakes and Lovers, which won a Georgia Indie award in Mystery. Her fifth novel, Wildwood Flower, went into family saga and redemption, telling how one careless misdeed can change a life forever. It has an Indie Brag Gold medallion.
Her new novel, Things Left Undone, has a mother struggling with a disabled child and a decaying marriage needing to solve the murder of a dear friend.
Anne lives in Atlanta with her model-railroader husband and loves her family, old houses, gardens, and trains.
