Barry R. Ziman started his career as a Director of Legislation in New York State in the 1980s. In the 90s, he became a lobbyist first in New York City and later in Washington, DC. He is a graduate of the Bronx High School of Science and the State University of New York, College at Oneonta. Mr. Ziman was the runner-up winner of the October 2021, F. Scott Fitzgerald Short Story Competition. In 2022, his novel Girls, Crimes, and the Ruling Body, was selected as a Winner for Political Thriller in the American Fiction Awards competition, a Winner for Fiction/ Mystery/ General in the PenCraft Book Award Competition, and a Finalist for Political Thriller in the National Indie Excellence Award (NIEA) Competition. The novel was also a Readers' Favorite Finalist for Political Thriller in their 2022 International Book Awards contest.
