After completing a degree in English from Humboldt State University in the early 1990s, Daria Hilton landed in San Francisco. The heady decades that followed provided endless material for what would one day be the book Hungry Crow Babies. Ms. Hilton spent her childhood on the California coast and credits the love of nature she developed there as the grounding force which allowed her to navigate the dizzying complexity of urban family life. She now spends much of the year living in and writing about the lakeside community of Chapala, Jalisco and is a frequent contributor to Mexico’s largest English language magazine, El Ojo del Lago.
