D. J. Mathews is a former college adjunct and present Master naturalist member, with a great interest in nature, science, and the world around us. She has written or coauthored three books, and is working on a satire about public education and relationships. Sometimes we need a sense of humor about things. The YA book, "Great American Women in Science and Environment," has been praised for its thoughtful tone and information. She's written op-eds and health and travel articles as well.
