In the State Department and the Department of Homeland Security, Rye managed complex counterterrorism and national security crises. In leading Fortune 500 companies, he created and led expert teams to address modern slavery and online promotion of terrorism and violence. He has decades of field-tested insights into complex conflicts and the belief systems that drive them, spanning 50 countries on six continents. He speaks Japanese, has two children, and is the custodian of a small, furry animal they love.
