"David is the last of his family to live and work on the mid-western plains as a cattleman. Raising organic beef in the 1980s, he experienced the cattle feeding business coming under the control of a few large companies squeezing independent producers out of business.
In the late 1980’s David transitioned from ranching to political activity. He was shocked at how corruption seemed to control every aspect of the elected and wealth classes. Unable to keep his moral core intact he left politics and became an American Red Cross Executive Director overseeing disasters.
David’s bride of 27 years Wendy inspired this book. She was his first Red Cross trainer. The class was entitled, Managing a small disaster.
This rare combination of experiences serves as the basis of this book."
