Gary Priester graduated from the Art Center College of Design and worked in advertising and graphic design until 2000. Since the late 1900s Priester has had 6 books of Magic Eye-style hidden image stereograms published. Since 2000 Priester and his partner Gene Levine have been the sole contributors to the TJ MOOK stereogram magazine series published once or twice a year by Takarajimasha Inc. in Tokyo, Japan. The Chiimes of Westminster is Priester's first book of fiction.
