I live in the Las Vegas valley and like to spend my free time sailing, riding motorcycles, playing poker, shooting guns, watching professional hockey & football and acting in local community theatre productions. I have traveled to Australia, Canada, Mexico, The Bahamas, Bermuda, The Netherlands, Belgium & Costa Rica, as well as almost all 50 US states. I earned the rank of Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do and my boat captain’s license.
In my real estate business, I take a “clients first” approach; always putting my client’s needs before my own, and it shows in my results. Prior to my real estate career, I spent more than 15 years in the restaurant business, as a server, bartender, and manager; this is where I learned the value of serving customers at a high level.
I have purchased over 50 investment properties with and without partners which we
* bought in 6 states (NV, MA, OH, ID, RI & SC)
* purchased pre-construction homes, raw land and existing construction (some of which were rehabbed heavily)
* had development pieces, multifamily units and single-family homes
From 2004 through 2008 I facilitated the Cape Cod Association of Real Estate Investors, and after returning to Las Vegas in 2008, I was co-facilitator of a similar investor resource called The Real Estate Insiders Club. I coach real estate investors and I have published two Real Estate Investing courses; one on Partnering and one on Lease-Options in addition to this book on negotiating. I firmly believe in being a perpetual student, and I understand that the more I teach the more I will learn as well.
Selling Real Estate as a licensee since 2009, right in the heart of a foreclosure and short sale market, I “cut my teeth” negotiating residential & commercial short sales. While 1 in 4 short sales were closing in the Las Vegas Valley, I was closing better than 4 out of 5 and saving many properties from foreclosure. The powerful negotiating that was needed to deal with the big banks is one thing you certainly want from your real estate agent, and what inspired me to write "The Book on Every Day Negotiating: The Magic Key for Everyday People to Get More of What They Want More Often Without Being a Jerk".
