John R. Myers
John R. Myers is Chairman of TRACOM Group. With over 45 years in training and human resource management, John is an expert in leadership and management development, sales force effectiveness, organization development, global training and human resources issues. John closely follows industry trends and determines what aspects of professional development should be researched. He provides organizational strategy to TRACOM and ensures that employees have the necessary resources to best implement the strategy.
He is the author of The Versatility Factor and The Ah Ha’s of Effective Relationships, both available from Amazon, and numerous published books, articles and studies.
John has been involved with the research and development of various TRACOM programs including SOCIAL STYLES and Versatility, the Behavioral EQ model, team technologies and feedback instruments, leadership and interpersonal 360, coaching, the Tri-Dimensional Model of Team Effectiveness, the Team Performance Survey, and the Team Leader Report.
While TRACOM was a division of Reed Elsevier, John served as Chief Learning Officer for Reed Business Global. In this capacity he led major strategic initiatives on employee engagement, performance management, high potential development, sales force effectiveness, and leadership development.
John has facilitated training and development with a wide range of audiences from senior executives, managers and supervisors and sales professionals. He has conducted sessions with global organizations in North America, Australia, Western and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Japan, Korea and China.
Prior to joining TRACOM, John served as President of Leadership Studies Productions and Vice President. International for The Center for Leadership Studies. There, he helped develop training programs based on the renowned Situational Leadership Model (Hersey/Blanchard), a top leadership development tool that is widely used in leadership programs around the world.
John received his Bachelor’s degree in History and Political Science from St. Louis University in St. Louis, Mo. He received his Master’s degree in Research from St. Louis University and his Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern Illinois in Carbondale, Ill. He has done advanced studies in Behavior Science, Organization Development and Instructional Design at the University of Michigan.
