The author was born in1935 at St.Lukes Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri. Escaping a chaotic childhood he married when he was nineteen years old. At the age of twenty-five he was supporting a wife and five children on a meager salary as a route salesman for the Jewel Tea Company. Twenty years with that company brought both success and failure until he finally became dissillusioned and made the decision to strike out on his own. In 1973 he moved to Northern Michigan where he started his own business eventually owning 12 franchises of a well known national chain. Despite several major obstacles he determined to rise from extreme poverty eventually attaining a life of security and wealth.
A lifetime of experiences include living in a converted garage with no bathing facilities, stolen cars, time in jail, the death of nine presidents including the assassination of JFK, the Detroit riots, class action lawsuits and much much more. Most of all the joy of his sixty-seven year marriage to the love of his life. Gail.
