K.M.'s writing journey began with a song. Lyrics and melodies came to her at a young age, and over the years she invested much of her time in developing the craft of songwriting. From a young age, she performed in plays and toured with singing groups world-wide. As a musical artist, she has released four albums, numerous singles, and some of her songs have been used for film and television.

K.M. has written and directed a few plays for churches and children's performing groups, and self-published her first book, Fire Lilies - Out of the Ashes, a devotional and women's bible study, under the name Kim Krenik. Soon after, she ventured into writing fiction under the name K.M. Krenik.

K.M. lives in the Pacific Northwest, where she enjoys spending time with family and friends, drinking world-class coffee, hugging trees in her forested ten acres, and going for walks with her dogs and fat cat Jiggly Puff (a.k.a. Jiggles). Caution: If you ever meet Jiggles, don't tell her she's fat.
