Leanne Staback, Ph.D. was a teacher for many years and ran a successful, private tutoring company until she retired from teaching in 2020. Several of Dr. Staback’s colleagues, familiar with her penchant for storytelling to make learning fun, encouraged her to begin writing children’s stories. She wrote her first children’s story “Christopher and the Bouncing Beagle”, which turned out to be a best seller. This encouragement prompted Dr. Staback to continue writing children’s stories both for educational purposes, and for fun! In 2024, she decided to venture out into the young adult and adult trade genres with co-author, Sloane Kennedy, with "The Ascending Veil" series, the first book of which is titled "Andarta". Dr. Staback is married to Rudy Hayes – a well-known singer in Las Vegas, has five children, and continues to write and work with illustrators to make her visions come to life for her readers.
