Leigh Esposito earned a B.A. in English from the University of Pennsylvania and a J.D. from Columbia Law. A recovering attorney whose practice included everything from securities litigation to celebrity divorce, Leigh is now a sought-after author, strategist, and content creator. Her writing has been featured in The Intellectual Devotional, VIA: Voices in Italian Americana, Outsmarting the SAT and on Law360.c0m. She is the co-founder of Selvatica Books, a publisher dedicated to promoting female-driven narratives and stories featuring ethnicity. Her debut novel, The Godmother, will be published in May 2023.
In her personal life, Leigh is an insatiable reader, traveler, and eater of delicious things. She is also passionate about her Italian American culture and heritage. She is 100% Southern Italian. She spends at least one month each year in Italy where she consumes endless bowls of spaghetti vongole; finds inspiration for her writing; and scouts the choicest spots for her curated Sicily retreats. Her deep connection to her roots and her beloved ancestors informs every aspect of Leigh’s work.
Leigh is based in Miami, Florida where she lives with her precocious son and a sleepy golden retriever. Most days, she likes to turn the thermostat low and pretend she is in the Apennines.
