Leslie is a Doctoral student studying perspectives of joint shared custody through the eyes of adults who have aged out of the two-home system. She holds a B.S. in
Psychology from Old Dominion University and a Master of Public Administration from Walden University. She is also a CDC Certified Divorce Coach, CDC Transition and Recovery Coach, member of ICF, real estate investor & agent, author, wife, and mother of two adult sons. They reside in Suffolk, VA.
In addition to her educational experience, Leslie also survived teen pregnancy in 1994, a divorce in 2005, and the death of her father in 2017. Each of these experiences brought change that she learned to embrace, including co-parenting both in and out of the 50/50 joint shared custody arena for 27 years. Her teen pregnancy and subsequent parenting took her through mediation, parenting classes, multiple court cases, child support, and all types of custody arrangements. Her divorce was a life-changing occurrence that took her from the life she thought she always wanted to a completely new life she had never even dared to dream of. Her experiences turning a life destined for failure into a life of abundance have inspired her to help others embrace hope & happiness— and make it through divorce better than you were.
