LILY K. LEE was born in Taiwan. She came to the United States as a young immigrant due to her father’s work at the United Nations in New York. She majored in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics in SUNY at Stony Brook and worked as a Software Engineer for many years before shifting her career to financial management. She moved from New York to California in 1990. An avid writer in her spare time, Lily has published three books in Chinese: “The Lily of Silicon Valley”, “Still Lily”, “Lily Trilogy”, and an English Historical Fiction “Fire Scar”. She often publishes her short stories in the World Journal and has her own food columns in the newspaper and in Distinctive Taste magazine. Lily actively participates in the Chinese community: as the VP of CWASFB (Chinese Writer’s Association in San Francisco Bay) 2022, Editor of the 101 Photography Club Newsletter 2020, as a drummer in Home of Christ Worship Team, and as VP of the Tai-Chi Health Association 2021. She is a member of the Overseas Chinese Women Writers Association, the Editorial Freelancers Association, and the South Bay Writers Club. She was the President of the Ching Ching Chorus in 2017, the publication editor for the 31st Taiwanese & Chinese American Athletic Tournament of the San Francisco Bay Area in 2015, a VP of the Lion’s Club – San Mateo 2008, and the president of the Organization of Chinese American Women – Silicon Valley Chapter in 2001. She loves travel, music, martial arts, photography, writing, food-tasting, adventures, and good jokes. Currently, she lives in Silicon Valley, California.
