Lloyd grew up in Lehi, Utah. He is the son of Dr. Kent B. and
Lois P. Davis—he has four siblings: Rob, Ryan, Lynette, and
Darin (Dude).
He pursued his academic studies in psychology and
political science at both Utah State University and Utah Valley
University. Lloyd married his late wife Cheryl in 1984. They
resided in Lehi and then American Fork, Utah, with their three
boys, Derrick, Daniel, who is deceased, and Samuel. Lloyd
again moved back to Lehi, Utah, after he married his second
wife Robin in 1998, who has since passed away. They resided
there with their children for twenty-one years.
Lloyd has been self-employed and is the original owner
and founder of Royal Crown Dental Lab as well as the owner of
All-American Deli and Republic Strategies. Lloyd has worked
in sales, business management, and public affairs.
Lloyd has also been very involved in politics. He has
worked with many political campaigns and has run for public
office himself. He served as a state and county delegate as well as
a voting precinct chair. Politics is one of Lloyd’s great passions.
What is most important to Lloyd is his faith and family.
Family gives him the most joy in life. He would rather spend
time with his family than do anything else. Lloyd also loves
Harley-Davidson motorcycles and going on road trips. He likes

golf, listening to music, target shooting, photography, reading,
and writing. It was after Lloyd’s first wife, Cheryl, passed away
that he decided he needed to write this book. His departed
loved ones are the inspiration for it. It is Lloyd’s passion and his
purpose to have this book finally published. Writing this book
has been a work of love. Lloyd’s path of working through his
grief and finding healing and peace has been a transformational
journey of love, sweat, and tears.
