Marisa Mangani is a former chef, and now designs commercial kitchens and bars. Her essays and fiction have been published in Hippocampus, Aji, Borrowed Solace, Sleet Magazine, Punchnels, Sandhill Review, Adelaide Magazine, and others. Her work has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize and Sundress Best of the Net Anthology. Her memoir, Mise en Place—Memoir of a Girl Chef  is due out in August.
