About the Author Kane has thirteen publications: seven articles in Newsweek Magazine on education reform, two in The Catholic Reporter on pain and suffering, and one in CatholicPhilly.com on mother-daughter bonding. She has four flash fiction pieces published in Borrowed Solace (Spring 2022/ Spring 2019) and one flash fiction piece in Coffin Bell (Summer 2019) Kane has a Ph.D. in research in Music Education from Temple University and 30 plus years of teaching experience in private and public schools in Philadelphia and Delaware County. When she’s not at her desk writing, she’s a volunteer violinist at area churches.
