Matthew Gillmann lives in Hermosa Beach, California with his wife, Kimberly, and their Dalmatian, Guinness. He was inspired to write children’s picture books by Guinness, who brings joy to both children and adults whenever they go out (she loves to meet people). "I want my books to brighten up everyone's lives the same way that my dog Guinness does. It's my hope that in the future these books will be included in many adults' favorite memories of their childhoods."
