In late 2020, I semi-retired from a successful career in Corporate Finance and Business Leadership that allowed me to experience all facets of designing, producing, marketing and selling products to customers across the world. I enjoyed that career, and still consult part-time, but being able to pursue my passion for creative writing has been a tremendous blessing.
Many years ago, while writing on a very limited basis, I came within a hair’s breadth of getting a science fiction novel traditionally published. Since embarking on my new journey with much more time and focus, I’ve published that book and a sequel myself, along with four religious historical fiction novels (which were a surprise to me). I’m starting to get some award recognition, along with a favorable review from Kirkus for The Servant of Helaman, a spy thriller and the first book I’ve submitted to them.
My docket is filled with new projects, including: the first spin-off to the Barabbas Trilogy, called Sophia; my first fantasy novel, titled Crossroads of Sundering Memory; a screenplay for I Was Called Barabbas; and Amulek: Revenant, a short but intense story of an ancient fence sitter turned lightning rod. A sequel to The Servant of Helaman is on the schedule, too, along with volume three of the Patriot Star sci-fi series.
