Although Noah Kempton is a recently published author, he was been a writer for nearly 10 years. Starting in high school, Noah first found his love for writing in his Sophomore year creative writing class wherein he could — you guessed it — write creatively. His early work was largely composed of poetry and short stories, all of which focused heavily on careful descriptions and beautiful imagery. It was not until 3 years later, while enrolled in Harford Community College, that he discovered the spark to ignite his creative narrative flame.
In the infancy of Origins: The Compound, Noah’s first novel, the 331 page manuscript was just a writing exercise to gain proficiency at developing characters and dialogue. That small assignment grew to become an extremely well-received work of literary prowess about which none have anything to say but “Great read!”
In October of 2021, Noah had the pleasure of being interviewed by William Mooney and Steve Zinner on The Main Street Podcast, a local Harford County talkshow, where he spoke about his early life, domestic and international travel to an Apache reservation in Arizona and Dublin, Ireland respectively and how that helped shape his creativity.

Here’s what his readers had to say:
“His use of words and phrases are mature and exciting. Each chapter compels the reader into the next. The story begins with a battle and a "young boy" found in a cave. I loved the following line: "Mature years come for all of us. It is the unfair nature of the world we live in that leads that maturity too some of us faster than others." (p. 24) or this one: ". . . thoughts like that don't make reality certain." (p. 143). The story builds to a satisfying conclusion and an Epilogue that promises another adventure with the man who is no longer the "young boy." I am in my 70's and I have read lots of novels--this one may become a classic of its type,” — AJ, Amazon review.
“Excellent book. Good characters, and interesting story laced with plots, humor and intrigue,” Rosanne Taylor, Amazon review.
“This novel was a great page turner. I couldn't wait to get to the end and then to come to find another adventure was coming. Well written and great imagery. Very descriptive words used in this story and character building. I highly recommend this book,” Bob K., Amazon review
