Being a Christian and living with a mental illness is a confusing, frustrating, and emotionally draining daily journey that asks the question; why me Lord? Paul Gaumer lives with these challenges each day and brings an insight into how he continues to focus on God while living with the daily struggles of bipolar disorder.

Paul has written a book, A Walk With The Light In The Shadows, that details his daily journey with the Lord while living with the effects of bipolar disorder. The book will be available for worldwide distribution through Ingram Distribution on April 5th and is currently available for preorders on Amazon and Barnes and Noble.

Paul lives in Canton and is a member of the Evangelical Free Church of Canton. He is a founding member and lead facilitator of their Mental Health First Responder and Coaching Ministry. Paul is a certified Mental Health First Responder through Light University and a Presidential member of the American Association of Christian Counselors. Paul also serves his church as a member of the usher/greeter committee. For all of this, Paul gives God all of the glory and is humbled to be His vessel in these very important ministries.
