BIO – PAULA WAGNER – 6.06.22
Born in London, I grew up crisscrossing the US along until my family settled in northern California. With adventure as our watchword, my twin sister and I set off for Israel at age eighteen in the early 60’s. Driven by a search for home and identity, that life-defining experience planted the seed for my memoir, Newcomers in an Ancient Land, (SheWrites Press, 2019). Soon that same wanderlust would propel me to France, the subject of Outsiders in France, a sequel-in-progress. When prose fails, I fall back on poetry to feed my love of language.
My studies include the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, a BA in Women’s Studies, and an MA in Career Development, leading to a work as a career coach and resume writer. After much roaming, I currently live with my husband in Albany, CA while keeping in touch with my extended family worldwide.
