Peter Kurtz is author of the Nick Montaigne mysteries The Shades Dripped Red and Black Jackknife (both on Longitudes Press). He also authored the memoir Evergreen Dreaming: Trail Tales of an Aging Hiker (Longitudes Press) and non-fiction history Bluejackets in the Blubber Room: A Biography of the “William Badger,” 1828-1865 (University of Alabama Press). He lives in Cincinnati, Ohio with his wife Lynn and enjoys running, hiking, music, reading, travel, and being a grandparent.
