Rachel A. Goss is a fifth generation Arkansan. She received an AB in English Literature and Biology from Washington University in St. Louis, and an MS in Biology from Texas A&M University.

Her interest in ethics, scientific research, local and world history intersect in the SHE series: stories of science, history and espionage. Driven by Conscience started the series off, and award winning On Madera Creek is the recent addition.
