Born in the nation's capital, Richard grew up in urban Chicago.  He wrote his first short story in the third grade.  Having earned a degree in English summa cum laude from Columbia University in New York, Richard moved to Los Angeles where he wrote screenplays for over a decade.  His horror-comedy Croak was purchased by Hudson River Entertainment in 2007.  On the 21st of August, 2019, an incredible idea for an epic fantasy series came to him, and he has never looked back.  Rebel Slave is the first of many novels to come.
