RYAN PATRICK is a graphic designer and author. While majoring in English at Rutgers University he worked in publishing, first as Assistant to the President, then Copywriter, and finally as Assistant Marketing Manager, focusing on titles in law, economics, and political science.
Patrick then opened a graphic design firm in Florida, eventually growing to include a diverse clientele across North America and Europe such as BlackRock, Century21, DoveBid, and the Discovery Channel and offering a wide range of branding, multilingual translation, and product development services. The firm celebrated its 27th anniversary in 2023.
In 2016, Patrick opened a science & math tutoring center in New Jersey for students Grades 7-12 and college. The center offered hands-on laboratory experience in biology, chemistry, and physics, and featured specialized disciplines such as forensic science and 3D print engineering.
But, book publishing has remained Patrick’s primary interest, and (under a variety of pseudonyms) he has written and published a number of titles including a collection of science and math jokes and a trivia book series of the theme parks of Walt Disney World. Plans to expand the trivia series to include subjects such as local towns and colleges/universities are underway.
As a visual artist, Patrick specializes in EL wire costume and prop commissions, t-shirt designs that playfully take on early computing, pop culture, big brands, and typographic invention, and produces and designs themed-event spaces.
His interests include experimental stereoscopic 3D photography, 1970s-era videogame consoles, and homemade ice cream, as well as people, places, and specified things.
