Sanaullah Momand was born on April 30, 1997 in Quetta City of Pakistan to an immigrant family. His family returned to Afghanistan in 2002, after the fall of the Taliban, and settled in the historic city of Kandahar. Sanaullah started his education in a local school, Shaheed Haji Abdul Latif High School, in the fall of 2003 and graduated in the summer of 2015. He joined the Faculty of Public Administration and Policy of Kandahar University in 2016 and completed his bachelor's degree with great honors in 2020. Sanaullah has worked for nine years as a volunteer and official in various government organizations and has done research works for which he received the Afghan Active Youth Award in 2019. He now works as a lecturer at Kandahar University and as a researcher at Malalai University.
