Tarin Elbert is an accomplished multi-media journalist and author, with a storied background as a reporter, feature writer and editor.
He recently published two nail-biting sci-fi thrillers:" Day of the Bluebirds: Everybody wants to rule the world," and "Gravity Girl: Everybody gets what they deserve. Amen."
A third novel is already in the works.
During his time as a music writer, he interviewed everyone from Kate Bush to Simple Minds, Pink Floyd to Deadmau5, Cowboy Junkies to Sting, Deep Purple to Journey.
One of his favorite interviews was with super-producer Daniel Lanois, as they shot some pool at his private residence.
His fondest career memory was driving Nick Mason's McLaren F1 in a death-defying spin around the Mosport Park race track, as the rattled Pink Floyd drummer held his breath.
His love for music has seeped into his work and you will find many references to popular songs in his novels, including David Bowie in the "Gravity Girl" novel.
Some of his other interests include astronomy, horticulture, and playing DJ as he remixes tracks in his high-tech music room.
