Terry Winckler is an award-winning author/editor in the San Francisco Bay Area who led two daily newspapers as executive editor, was managing editor of Earthjustice, and represented Harper’s Magazine at the first world conference on environment. He worked in a Mayan village as a volunteer, covered Guatemala’s civil war as a journalist, and hitchhiked home to the United States along the migrant trail.
