Verlaine loves poetry, prose, the arts, philosophy, gardening, cooking, and travel. She was born in San Francisco and grew up in Iowa by the Mississippi River. She finished high school in Carmel, CA, and attended UC Berkeley and Los Angeles.

Verlaine has enjoyed being an international speaker, seminar leader, and personal/business consultant, sharing her philosophy of how our thoughts become reality in Japan, Hong Kong, Australia, Bali, Europe, and across the U.S. She has authored four books:

• Ending the Battle Within

• Daughter of God: Angelic Messages of Wisdom and Love (poetry)

• The Heart of Transformation and the Butterfly Effect

• Emotional Healing: Experience Balance and Self-Empowerment in an Age of Rapid Change.

As an entrepreneur, she is owner/founder of High Castle Publishing and published an 11-award-winning, 400-page fantasy/adventure novel: Portals in Time: The Quest for Un-Old-Age by John Teressi. In 2017, she started oil painting, selling her impressionistic paintings on FineArtAmerica.com and Saatchi.com.

During her career, she was part-owner & vice president of two, start-up software companies in Silicon Valley, Sales Director for the Lodge at Pebble Beach, Editor of Newspapers, and Capital Records Keynotes Magazine. She served as Executive Director for three Chambers of Commerce (Seaside, San Juan Capistrano, and Laguna Beach), Marketing Director for the American Cancer Society, and Director of Aids Services Foundation in Orange County, CA.

Verlaine lives in San Gabriel, CA, with John T., her long-time love and partner. And there’s so much more.
