Vickie lives outside Tampa, Florida with her pator husband, mom who is 94, two amazing teenagers, and two unruly dogs. Raised in western Pennsylvania, but a sun state girl at heart, she and her husband moved in 1997 to Florida to escape the snow and ice. Born with the congenital disability, Spina bifida, Vickie walked with crutches most all of her younger life. She often said, "if you saw Bambi on ice you can picture me, with one crutch going one way and the other going the opposite direction, I needed to leave that environment far behind!" Today you will see her speeding around the church, passing out hugs as the PW (pastor's wife) in her wheelchair.
Vickie has never let her disability slow her down, when she's not facilitating the women's fellowship (GALS) Bible study; or writing her blog Confessions From A Pastors Wife, she is caring for her mom and chauffeuring her two teenagers.
Vickie's passion for writing has been a lifelong companion. And with the publication of her book of devotionals, she has finally fulfilled the dream of her heart. It is her hope that it will be just the first of many books she will write. In fact, she is working on two right now!
