“Moving collection of poems. The clever designed cover art that moves from front to back and demonstrates the transition and growth expressed within is lovely. The notes at the bottom of each poem are a very successful way of including context for each subject and the poems place within the collection without taking any focus from the poem itself or taking up much space. Very innovative and helpful. A collection that spans experiences from 30 years of life as this does means the range of topics is vast and yet has so much inside to relate to for readers. The variety of forms, wordplay, even format experimentation as in "Off the Deep...End". Loved "Midnight" for the atmospheric feeling added to the emotions conveyed, "I'm Drowning" for the use of obvious rhyming words in a successful way to mimic the overwhelming feeling of the sometimes desperately repetitive daily grind, and "Unplug" which cleverly expressed a desire to find a time, less consumed by technology. Great and thought provoking collection.” Judge, 29th Annual 2021 Writer’s Digest Self-Published Book Awards
