This book is almost like if “To Kill a Mockingbird” and “Where the Crawfish Sing” had a baby. The one major difference is that the main characters overcome their pain and suffering with forgiveness and God’s mercy. What a captivating and spiritual book that really captures how simple it is to live in the country. The details of the tedious jobs at the farm and how people act in a small town is perfectly written. Fantastic book! I wouldn’t mind seeing this turn into a movie as well.
This is such a well-written and powerful novel about forgiveness, compassion, and finding peace. It presents many life lessons and is all about finding faith and inner strength in hard times. The book is not only captivating and a page turner, but also enlightening and heartwarming with a great ending. I loved how the siblings overcame adversity despite their traumatizing and difficult past. They became strong, confident, and truly happy by the grace of God. This story is definitely emotional at times, as it tackles tough topics like overcoming trauma and finding purpose. But in the end, it turns out to be an inspiring and uplifting read. It also allows you to connect with your own spirituality and religion as well. Honestly, I'd love to see this book turned into a movie. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a story about resilience and the power of faith.
