This wonderfully inspiring author captivated me from the beginning. While our lives were different, her story had so many themes that resonated with me I couldn't put it down. I too on the outside looked like I had it all but something major was missing. A long rocky journey led me back to the Lord and living a life that focused on meaning. The book is not only an inspiration but a great read.
I was blown away by this inspirational book. Suzette graciously shares her own struggles with many issues faced by working mothers today. I enjoyed the structure of the book where each chapter showed a personal story/issue and referenced a spiritual message. A very uplifting and pleasant read.
It took author Suzette Webb five years to write her memoir, Blues to Blessings: from Fearful to Faithful. Three of her biggest challenges were "finding the inner peace to tell my story in such raw detail," time and motivation. Pure perseverance played out in her favor.
"In our lives, we all have the beautiful parts and the ugly parts. We have become a society of reality TV watchers where we like to see everyone else's ulginess. However, there is beauty, strength and endurance in those ugly parts," Webb says.
