This book is a good read. Dave Wimsett makes the characters come alive. The many characters are easy to follow through his timeline due to their distinctiveness and the careful creation of his characters. Male and female heroes and intertwined ins books. The king’s bastard child eventually receives his come uppance.He adds comedy with his fantasy characters who move through the roots of plants. His plot is interesting and keeps the reader wanting more. The author provides many twists and turns and yet keeps his main characters in you heart and mind. On the next cloudy and rainy day, curl up with book and enjoy.
Half Awakened Dreams, the second volume of The Carandir Saga fantasy trilogy, won a silver medal for Epic Fantasy at The BookFest Awards. All three books in the trilogy have now won silver and bronze medals for literary Science Fiction & Fantasy, Fantasy Action & Adventure, Fantasy Dragons & Mythical Creatures and now Epic Fantasy.
Half Awakened Dreams will be represented at the Frankfurt International Book Fair running from October 16th to the 22nd of 2023. The books will be displayed on a dedicated shelf in the Independent Book Publishers Association booth.
The fair is the largest event in the world for publishers from many nations to find books they can license to translate and publish in their counties.
Also on the shelf will be the other two books of The Carandir Saga epic fantasy trilogy, Dragons Unremembered and Covenant With the Dragons, as well Beyond the Shallow Bank, historical fiction set in 1901 Nova Scotia, Canada with rumours of the selkies, seal people from Celtic mythology.
