How to Catch Little Boys and Eat Them (8x10 paper)
Lois Wickstrom, author
Jack and the Beanstalk, from the Giant’s point of view.
The Giant is just trying to get delicious little boys to eat. He lures them up his bean stalk by selling them "magic beans." Earth boys all want to get rich with very little work. The giant hides treasures where the Earth boys can easily find them, and consider themselves clever. The giant lies there pretending to sleep in plain sight. He has to get the boys used to the sight of him, because fear ruins the flavor of Earth Boys. The giant advertises his system to other giants via infomercials. When he finally catches Jack, Jack offers to make infomercials, too, to lure more boys to the giant's lair. Of course, nothing works out as planned.
