Armenia had a 500 year history with Rome that was a struggle for survival which proved to be the precedent for survival for Armenia through to the present time. Includes 2021 conflict analysis and breaking 2022 genetic science.
“Bravo on the book!
Your thesis will be challenged by some but you are clear where you stand. The historical analysis of the book will challenge the nay sayers in their position on the geopolitics and military stand they support. The Armenians have often stood alone in their aid from others that do not support their democratic views and vulnerability in the region where they are located along with their sparse population. Scholar Michael Boyajian thinks that the lessons of history should be remembered when In their history Armenians survived the power of the Roman Empire and its history which goes back to antiquity. “
Gary A. Kulhanjian, Social historian

New book traces history of Armenian Genocide
Boyajian detailed the 500 year relationship between Rome and Armenia that laid the groundwork for Armenian geopolitics. That policy was to confront invaders but not to the point of extinction. This refutes the Turkish notion that the Armenians were threatening Turkish rule bringing the genocide on themselves.
The book provides all readers from teens to adults, not just academics, with an excellent guide through civilizations... Michael Boyajian proves his thesis about the relationship of the Roman Empire and Armenia and its quest to survive and secondly he details the impossible rationale of the Turkish regimes that in 1915 the Armenians were equipped to overthrow the Ottoman Empire. --- Gary A. Kulhanjian, Social Historian
Chris Sorochin of WUSB says, The fact that you wrote it makes it interesting to me... interesting... no one had ever written a book on the subject before.

I will be discussing Roman Armenia with the AGBU's Armenian Virtual College at 9 am est June 7 via Skype Mike Boyajian
On June 7 Michael Boyajian did a Skype book talk before the Armenian Virtual College, AGBU on his new book Roman Armenia: A Study In Survival. The discussion was organized by Marina Khachaturyan, Education Program Coordinator at Armenian Virtual College, AGBU and a student Aram Agajanian.
Mr Boyajian detailed the five hundred year relationship between Rome and Armenia focusing on the confrontation between Tigranes The Great and Pompey The Great and the subsequent accord between them that laid the groundwork for Armenian geopolitics that would last through Armenia's Roman period ensuring that Armenians would be one of the few ancient people to survive into modern times.
Boyajian stated that this policy was to confront invaders but not to the point of extinction and lasted into modern times. It enabled Armenia to survive conflicts with Parthians, Persians, Russians and Turks as well as the Romans.
This policy refutes the Turkish notion that the Armenians were threatening Turkish rule forcing the genocide upon thenselves. The Armenians would never risk annihilation under a policy that lasted two millennia.
One student challenged Boyajian's premise but the author pointed out that the United States has maintained a similar foreign policy for 75 years that has kept Russia and America at peace and the world free from nuclear destruction. He than asked the class if any Armenian had risked extinction in an uprising against Russian occupiers in the last century. The answer was no. And as in Roman times when Armenia balanced between Parthia in the East and Rome in the West today the nation does the same with Russia and the U.S.with the new Armenian president first visiting Putin and in the near future Trump.
The book is the first of its kind in the U.S although the topic is well covered in Armenia. Mr Boyajian is a retired attorney and former human rights judge. He and his wife live in the Hudson Valley where they enjoy their Cicero inspired library and garden with their three cats.

The study of Roman Armenia that I wrote many years ago has been so completely rewritten where it’s premise as to the survivorabiliy of the Armenian homeland is proven 2,000 years after its inception against the Roman Empire. This time though it is 2021 and the attack by Azerbaijan and Turkey forces using Turkish drones to disable the Armenian defensive capabilities whereas the Prime Minister of Armenia makes the decision to invoke the foreign policy initiative in place since first contact with Rome and agrees to conciliation of a zero sum gain territory exchange in order to prevent ancient Armenia from disappearing from the history books because belligerents destroyed the homeland pushing its people into extinction.
