Snout, Maren, Ox and Troppi are a slightly strange bunch. There is Ox, who is a see-through jelly-like thing with a slight attitude problem. Then there is Troppi who is a small, roundish hairy thing and is considered by pretty much everyone to be a vermin. Snout and Maren are the only ones that look alike. Well, almost alike. Maren does have a tail which Snout doesn't. Their backgrounds are different too. While Snout had grown up in the forest with a loving family Maren had been kept as a pet by a cruel owner. Just as they thought that their lives would be flowing along nicely Troppi is arrested by the knights for treason against the queen. If they fail to free Troppi they most likely will never see her again. To their help they have their determination as well as the lawyer Mr. Nug. Although, more problems appear when they discover that the knights are up to something that no one had foreseen, not even the queen.
