I just received my copy of this book, purchased as a gift for my 7-year old granddaughter. It's a beautiful story of the friendship between species, how kindness, compassion, patience and respect can heal, and be beneficial to both the giver and the receiver. It's a lesson in how we could all live in harmony, with nature, with ourselves, if we just practice kindness. I will be ordering a second copy, for myself.

Reading this with my little one was such a joy. The story is simple yet meaningful, and my child was completely drawn in by the fawn’s journey. It sparked some great conversations about kindness and hope, which made it even more special. The illustrations are beautiful, too, adding a nice touch to the reading experience. It’s become one of our go-to bedtime books, and my child always asks for “just one more time.” If you’re looking for a feel-good story, this one’s a winner!
