I am retired from the U.S. Army, I’ve taught High School, worked in Human Resources and in higher education as an After-Action Review (AAR) Sr. Administrator. While in all of these roles and currently, I've designed and implements quality AAR programs helping people discover lessons learned. This includes giving all team members a voice, an opportunity to share their perspective about events or projects and helping them to play nicely together. With my years of interacting with people at all levels within the business world, I have been able to guide and mentor people to develop a productive AAR process, helping them to achieve measurable results. I am passionate about this process and I know how to help people, teams and leaders grow.
What has helped me to succeed is the fact that I have truly been on the mountain top and buried underneath it. From being named soldier and teacher of the year at points in my life, to spending two weeks in a mental health hospital for attempted suicide. I've learned as much from facing my demons as I have helping team members excel. I am in a lovely place in my life now, married to my muse and soulmate for over thirty-one years. Together we have three amazing daughters that are all living their best lives as young adults now. My four gals inspire and motivate me to excel in all I do. I am a lucky cat.
