Chanler graduated from Nasson College in Springvale Maine. During the past decade, he turned his focus to writing. His short story, Dreaming About Victor Frankenstein, was published by Piscataqua Press. He expanded the work into his first novel, Son of Terror: Frankenstein Continued. Bestselling author Douglas Preston praised the work, writing, “Chanler's novel picks up where Shelley's ends. A wonderful, horrifying, poignant tale. With vivid characters, a spectacular setting, and a frightening and complex plot, I highly recommend this imaginative sequel.”
Terrorized in New York City is his second novel. Published on January 10, 2021 by BookLocker.com, Inc., it is the story of a young journalist’s struggle to overcome a series of traumatic experiences at a pivotal point in her career.
Chanler is editing the biography of a 15th century princess and duchess. He is also working on a novelette.
